Generally, no special preparation is needed prior to your ultrasound exam and you may go about your daily routine, eating, drinking and following your regular medication routine. 

 

If your exam requires special considerations, you will receive specific instructions at the time you schedule the exam.

Following your ultrasound, a board certified radiologist will interpret the images and send a report to your physician.
